Our Wet Climate Tinder will burn in excess of 19 minutes and 1,600 F. and will hold a hot "coal" or "cherry" for up to one half-hour, per ball. With that kind of time and heat on your side, you can dry the wet wood and then ignite it to achieve a sustainable fire. It is 100% waterproof and can be lit with flame or spark. We believe the question is not whether the fire starter is 100% waterproof, but that is it capable of lighting damp or wet wood. In other words: you can keep your tinder dry if you're careful, however, you have no say whether your combustibles are going to be wet. Wood is not waterproof. When you have the Zombie Tinder Rainforest kit with you, and a way to light it, neither matter, you will get a fire going even when everything is soaked.
